Essential oils have been used by individuals for millennia both for healing purposes and for cosmetic ones. The particles in essential oils come from distilling or extracting the different parts of plants, including the flowers, leaves, bark, roots, resin and peels. In fact by distillation the oil and water parts are separated, creating highly concentrated oils. [1]

Essential oils are used for a variety of reasons yet generally they are always applied in dilution. You can add 5 to 10 drops of your chosen oil in baths, or 2 drops to 10 ml base oil to blend your massage oil.
