Spicy Red Lentil Stew

  • 400 grams red lentils
  • 4 * 400 grams cans chopped tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 2tsp cumin
  • 2tsp coriander
  • 2tsp turmeric
  • 2tsp garam masala
  • stock
  • seasoning


  • Start by rinsing your lentils.
  • Chop the onion and to a pan.
  • Shallow fry with a little olive oil.
  • Add all the spices and cook for a minute, making sure they don't burn.
  • Add the lentils, chopped tomatoes and stock.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Simmer for 20mins and enjoy.
