Smokey Sausage Lentil Stew

Ingredients

200g dried red lentils

3 onions

6 garlic

3 red bell peppers

2 cups frozen peas

3 cans chopped tomatoes (400grams)

1.5ltr stock

3tbsp smoked paprika

3 tsp turmeric

1cup wine

seasoning

cooking oil

1 pack (6 sausages) Linda McCartney Sausages

Instructions

Start by cooking the sausages as per instruction in the oven.

Heat oil in pan.

Add onion, garlic, bell peppers and spices.

Add stock, lentils, chopped tomatoes, wine, the chopped cooked sausages and frozen peas and bring to a boil.

Simmer for 20mins, until lentils are tender.

Season and serve with grains and more vegetables.

Just realised this recipe doesn’t say how much lentils to use?Also I take it it is for dried lentils. If I was to use tinned lentils I assume I don’t need to simmer it so long?

The lentils are not listed in the Ingredients section. I would like to know the amount please, so I can try this recipe.
